This document was created almost a year ago, and I believe every part of it
still rings true for us today. Good sportsmanship is a pillar of this
organization. There are really great people that go out every day and
volunteer their time to coach, and referee our games. There are great
parents out there who run around like mad people sacrificing for their
children so they can have a great athletic experience. They give up family
time, personal time, and clean cars. The reason is because of the children
within our parish/ schools who yearn for the instruction, structure and
belonging that sports provides. We cannot lose grasp that this is a
ministry, and one of the largest within the Archdiocese.

Read over this document that Greg created, print it out, and hand it to
each one of your coaches, and maybe even your parents at the beginning of
the season. We are building a great thing at the GCCYS, but it is still
very much under construction. We will be a better, stronger organization
at the end of 2016/2017, 2017/2018, and so on. We can't do it without
you, so please join us in this message.
